And as you can see, I saved the process, from the sketch to the final coloring.
It took me between 2 to almost 3 days to finish it.
I wanted to add a background because the image just wouldn’t look how I imagined it without one! - (If you look closely, at first I drew Veyle’s hair shorter, then I remembered it was actually longer, so I fixed that xD jejé)

The frills in the swimsuit, especially on the bottom half of the two-piece, really demonstrate the time and care that was put into this composition. The shading and lighting on different parts of the swimsuit do an exceptional job of showcasing the texture of the frills, really demonstrating that she's not wearing a flat, two-piece suit. It's really super, super cute! The color choice for the suit itself is also really nice! A lot of JRPG or gacha swimsuits are really crowded and complicated, they're not practical and DEFINITELY not something that you would see on a beach. The swimsuit she's wearing here is something that I can imagine Veyle herself would pick out for a day in the sun! Sun hats are also another staple in gacha swimwear, and I find that so many of them are too large to be anywhere near practical. The sunhat in this image is perfectly sized for her head, and the black ribbon around the top makes it a perfect match for her black suit. Finally, the star of the show is absolutely her hair! A lot of artists do not draw biblically accurate Veyle, she has hair that extends nearly down to the ground while she is standing. I greatly appreciate the attention to detail with her hair, it goes to show how much time and effort you must put into researching each character before taking the time to paint them! To continue with her hair, her monochrome mane looks exceptional here! The way it is flowing in the wind, how different shades of white are present to demonstrate different levels of sunlight and the way her hair is angled while flowing, it's all just so breathtaking! Incredible work, Soy!
