Cartwright and Tenner - Case 1 - Update 1
Added 2021-09-10 00:28:16 +0000 UTCCartwright and Tenner is a choose your own adventure mystery horror comic in which you the audience can suggest actions for the main characters to partake as they investigate their cases.
To suggest an action, all you need to do is comment on the patreon post about what they should do! Feel free to be as detailed as you want! If you make a long post, try to provide a summary in a similar vein to something like this:
- "Action: Investigate X"
- "Action: Talk to X about Y"
- "Action: Pick up X"
Feel free to comment , suggest actions and speculate, I am very intrigued to see how this will be received!
The idea is that I will be trying to do updates to this comic once every two-three weeks, patrons getting access to the comic a week early to the public. I will be making roughly 10-15 panels per update to avoid overwhelming my work load.
Also to note, I am considering throwing in patron cameos as this series hopefully continues, such as witnesses, clients, etc! These appearances won't be controllable by patrons, but will be characters in the story for you all interact with. With permission given, the patron appearance and aesthetics will be adapted into the appropriate look for the setting of the comic.
I hope people enjoy the ride, Cartwright and Tenner's fates are in your hands.

Was it a necklace bo bought, or maybe it was originally bo's, as in he wore it before giving it to him. Did the necklace open up to show something like a picture or small object?

If Bo was fooling around with some sort of experimental growth formula it'd probably be stored there - besides, these kids probably can't pay much, at least they can give you a quick snack. Tenner Action - plan to follow the trail of blood drops, but before you open some of #2's mail to check who lives there.

The panel with Tenner holding the super detailed watch is so pretty, so many tiny details, does anyone know what it says in the inscription? So clearly the narrative is suggesting Bo has turned into some sort of Were-beast and smashed through the wall to escape, and now we have to track him down. The "Tell the Truth" on the calendar, unless its a red herring, suggest that Bo knew he was cursed with this transformation, and perhaps thought it would make it impossible to stay with his bear, hoping to wait until after exams ended to reveal and leave. But maybe he transformed early, or transformed unexpectedly ruining the house/making Bo panic, forcing him to leave sooner than he planned. That means we can't discount the possibility Bo could have reverted to normal but is still too worried to go back. But from a meta-story view I think there is some plot to discover still at the apartment, Branson has good reasons why other tenets wouldn't hear him, but says he's just never seen whoever is in #2, yet we know someone exists there because Tenner was looking at #2's mail with curiosity. Also in part one Glaz spent a lot of time focusing on the Security Buzzer and its mysterious tapped up buttons. So its highly plausible that will come up. A question lingers in my mind, if Bo was transforming into a beast on the way to Branson's room, as Tenner suggests by the claw marks, how on earth did someone with such large claws take a necklace off of the bear's neck? Action : Ask Mr. Burlock if he knows about any relatives in the city or places Bo might go if he needed somewhere to stay in an emergency. Investigate : The apartment appears to not have a home phone, maybe Bo has one of those new cellular phone, if so ask if Bo has tried calling it, if Bo left it in the apartment check his phonebook.

Did Branson make that when he came home or is it Bo's? Check what's inside the fridge. Inspect Bo's photographs. Ask Branson if he's experienced loss in weight or strength. Perhaps coming at the same time that Bo could have been having a "growth spurt."

The watch inscription 'Our actions leave stains on this world' does suggest the pocket watch marks supernatural activity Oh just noticed the matching crosses on the left hands of Cartwright and Tenner! I wonder what bond that means Interesting that if no one lives in 2 mail still gets delivered to it. Wonder what is going on there Need more eggs :( The entity negatively reacted to Bo's name- and seems to have started peaceful then got steadily more violent? The tf angle seems like a likely one rn If the entity started in the room, it certainly deliberately wasn't violent in Bo's room. I wonder if Branson's looks any different... Keys left on the desk in Bo's room- suggests he returned home peacefully at first. The knocked over plant presents the possibility that, for a while, the entity didn't realise its current size and so knocked into things So, at a guess of a timeline - Bo came home from the library, went to his room, something happened so he moves to Branson's, takes the necklace and then got angry, before breaking out

Let’s ask Branson if it’s a 24 hour library, and find out if there’s any occult stores between there and here.

2021-09-10 02:10:17 +0000 UTCSo my theory is that Bo found some tf trigger during his desperate attempts to get bigger, but it had much more drastic effects than he’d anticipated. So one has to wonder where he got the trigger, from whom, and where he might be headed now. We could ask Branson if Bo had visited any odd occult stores recently. Or maybe someone at the library would know, assuming he was there tonight like Branson said. The library might be closed by now so I think our only option would be to attempt to follow whatever signs of detritus we can find, follow the trail to our missing transformed herbivore.
