Animation type for future works. Your opinion.
Added 2024-01-28 16:41:47 +0000 UTCSo For last 2 month I was learning all methods and instruments about rig animation and I have a question for you. What kind of animations would you like to see more?
It is pretty important question for me because there are basically 2 ways and they are pretty different.
With live2d I'm more productive and I can make more animated stuff every month + I could possibly work on something bigger, Like a 2-3 minute cartoon. But it looks different.
With frame by frame animation type I can't post that much animated content because every animation takes much more time to produce. But it is frame by frame oldchool animation type.
I like them both and I see good and bad sides of both of them. So I would like to hear your opinion about it!

Live2D is great, but your traditional animations are amazing!

2024-02-04 15:55:00 +0000 UTCI prefer traditionally animated ones to be honest, they have a weight and heft that the live2d ones don't have as much. Of course live2d is a skill like anything else in art so I would be excited to see you improve with it if thats what you choose/want.

2024-01-31 01:07:28 +0000 UTCThank you for all your votes guys. Now it’s more clear to me because I was very curious about it during 2 month. Going to focus on traditional more and live2d is going to be used for fun from time to time! Next animation poll is going to be at the beginning of the February and the winner is going to be animated in a traditional style!

2024-01-29 06:09:24 +0000 UTCI enjoy all your work, and as much I as I prefer traditional animation, live2d is nice. Overall, whichever works out better for you and your health is what I say. Keep up the amazing job Chelo!

2024-01-29 05:42:29 +0000 UTCHonestly I love both of them. The live2d looks amazing and I'm sure allows an easier workflow, but I feel like maybe it sacrifices some of the more intricate details and softness that your traditional animations have. Either way, they both have their charms and your art is amazing!

2024-01-29 01:00:06 +0000 UTCPrefer a more traditional animation, though would love to see more 2d animation to see how much your improving since you just started learning the program ^^

2024-01-28 21:12:40 +0000 UTCYeah. I think the best is to work in both techniques from time to time

2024-01-28 19:14:57 +0000 UTCBoth have their benefits and cons. In the end it's really up to you. I wish you luck!!

2024-01-28 19:05:08 +0000 UTCUnless you feel like it'd be better for you to focus on one technique, i'd like to see a mix. Especially with the possibility of longer animations.

2024-01-28 18:40:46 +0000 UTCLike most comments here, both are good. The best one is the one you feel more comfortable making. If you feel like doing old school then do that, if live2d then do that. Whichever makes you feel happy with your work is the better option

2024-01-28 18:13:59 +0000 UTCFor me it’s, why not both? Could do some one month and some the other. Some months more art done faster and some months just focus on the old style. I think that way you’d have most fun learning new tools while not being forced into one or other over worries of content taking longer.

2024-01-28 17:40:27 +0000 UTCI do prefer the previous style. But honestly, whatever keeps you exited and working on your projects is good by me. I can adjust.

2024-01-28 17:40:25 +0000 UTCI think both are great with their own pros! I hope you keep doing this new style, it has a lot of potential, especially if it means sounds and larger video clips! Also it looks very smooth :)

2024-01-28 17:15:17 +0000 UTCHow about placing poll for l2d, and for your own style of animation? As that you can still do both.

2024-01-28 17:14:41 +0000 UTCProbably doing both of them. Sometimes frame by frame and sometimes rig animations

2024-01-28 17:05:32 +0000 UTCI think a balance between them could be good. While I am in LOVE with the frame-by-frame animations you do, the new live2d seems amazing as well, and judging by how you say it takes less time, I think you could make live2d animations, and sprinkle in a couple oldschool animations. That being said, I would love to see a full-length animation on live2d

2024-01-28 16:59:11 +0000 UTCBoth look great. Curious if there's a happy middle ground.
