Simple Shade Commission for patron Marble!
---
Marble still very much preaches and practices the virtues of proper planning and preparing when they are called for. Even, if, in truth, he prefers to rely on his own innate, subtler magicks to carry him through life.
Tonight, he finds himself donning the robe, the wizard hat, and taking time to trace out the magickal circles. It's a mindful thing to do once and a a while; to both keep those magickal 'muscles' limber, and to remind himself and any witnesses that have yet to flee the area, of what he's actually fully capable of.
His aversion to the red tape and cost involved with more traditional, old-school casting was not entirely without some reason. But there really is no denying the efficacy of calling in a favor here and there. It was decidedly worth the pomp and circumstance. And he didn't necessarily mind the opportunities to pay back this benefactor, in his own way.
Who knew that getting a greater demon lord to howl out your name amidst the throes of passion, would leave them remembering the invoker-conjurer it belonged to for lifetimes to pass?
Marble still smiles to himself about it, surprised it was that easy. Much he smiled to himself now.

I think this is one of the more detailed drawings I've ever done!
