Raven Stares Down Jinx

I tried my hand again animating something. This was meant to be a simple little thing but oh man it got surprisingly complex for me as I started adding more stuff to it. Initially it was just going to be Raven dangling a tiny Jinx in front of her face and occasionally blinking at her but it quickly turned into something a lot more trickier for me once I added in Starfire for Raven to shoot a glare at and then having Raven swing Jinx about just to add a little extra flare to the whole thing. Getting the motion of Starfire's levitation to look smooth and not skip, having Raven's eyes dart over to Starfire, and getting Jinx to swing about just right. They were all things I had a lot of difficulty with when making this.
Usually I don't have much of a clue as to what I'm doing when making art but I certainly don't have any idea what I'm doing when it comes to animating stuff. There was an embarrassing amount of trial and error making this but overall I'm still really happy with how it turned out.

2022-11-17 18:56:09 +0000 UTCGod damn this is short but the quality is amazing, if this is your second I'd say you're a natural On a side note, I love the little details, the way Jinx sways and the way you can tell Star first looks a bit alarmed, then relieved, when Raven glances her way then looks away
