Added 2023-04-21 14:00:04 +0000 UTCi watched sinix skin tutorial before doing that atsumu concept art and had SOOOOO MUCH FUN. here's my own much more simplified version of their skin painting process, hope it makes sense to you!!
as sinix says, you need to create a big colour spectrum with lower opacity brush, from your base skin colour to your shadow and blushes! layering on the red/orangey blushes last will be able to bring your whole palette together from cool to warm tones before you proceed to render and perfect your painting.
never start intending to make things perfect!

Skin can be so scary to paint but after watching that same video i started to understand the “trust the process” mindset cuz MAN I GOT TRUST ISSUES LMAOO but its been fun since i tried all these different tricks.
