Oh!! So when you are multilingual you don't think in multiple languages you think in the one you hear/read most often like I think in English even though I speak both Spanish and English fluently so Kaien would think in Portuguese and only his memories would go into the languages that include that honestly that's what really makes it difficult because your brain doesn't always think in all the languages so it picks at a part it doesn't clearly remember, also the more languages you know the less you actually remember from the language like it turns into percentages and you forget words more often and even lingo especially if the language goes unused for a long time it starts getting blurry, he would start with Spanish, Japanese, Italian, and Portuguese all at the same time due to well his parents and you know other family members but English is something you only rlly learn in school by that point if you're not in America so you know it forms struggle I would hope I could just not get English as a class if I lready spoke multiple languages but that's just wishful thinking hope this helps a tiny bit at least ‼️
