Was so happy we got a character from my state(even tho we feel....a certain kinda way about those Upper Peninsula..folk, down here in Detroit we do anyway) but yayyyy and she's visually stunning and cinematically gorgeous so ya know, there's that.
Also 😂I swear I thought Mel was stoned the whole beginning of this episode, po' baby tho, she's so pure and sweet and adorkable🥹☺️😁👌🏾✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾

Last season, they said McKay was nearing the end of her ankle-braces left requirement, that is why her being violated would have been such a big deal. We are at a little more than 10 months since Season 1, so unless something happened, I would think the bracelet is a thing of the past.

I love Santos as a character & she's a great actress. I really enjoy flawed characters that we can watch change and grow.

Oh, and I want Dr. Abbott in this season PRONTO. He's so interesting to me.

Was able to finish Ep 2.
I loved the call back with Dr. Mel and Langdon when he could tell she was having a bit of anxiety/panic, and he turned off the lights and shut the door to give her 10 minutes. Remember in S1 when she did that for the patient who was neurodivergent who had injured his foot?
I hope the tension with Dr. Robby and the new doctor goes somewhere worthwhile -- otherwise, it feels a bit annoying. But I will trust the writers and see . . .
I love seeing Whitaker with more confidence and taking charge now that he's a doctor. I feel so sad for the woman who lost her husband and can't remember. Just awful. I love Samira & Javadi -- glad to see them back.
You totally called yourself out on Santos, so no shade needed. ;) I actually think she's handling this similar case much better than the first one in S1. I also think we have to give a little bit of grace to the conversations around the central desk area b/c it's a TV show, and we need to be able to hear and understand the convos and dynamics between characters. I also don't feel they're being as loud as it may appear, especially when you think of all of the other noises present in an ER. That being said, I really appreciate you stressing the importance of privacy laws.
I'm worried in that last scene that maybe Mel being pushed and hitting her head actually did impact her. She was looking at the sign about "How bad is your pain?" and kinda seemed zoned out. It could be the deposition, but I worry it may be more. She's my favorite. ❤️
Glad to see Dana back. She seems really cheerful and centered. Almost too much maybe? I don't know. The TV watcher in me suspects something might be happening with her -- I don't know what -- but something. I also feel like they're putting a lot of emphasis on the alcoholic (Louie?) and that there may be more developments there.
I think with this show turning around so fast (1 year between seasons unlike these other shows) that it may continue to follow a similar formula, so to speak. As long as the patient stories, the character arcs, and the overall narrative across the whole shift stays solid, I don't think the formulaic element will be an issue.

something tells me that little girl has CIP - can’t feel pain and she’s injured herself without knowing, and they’re falsely accusing the man again.
i’m hoping this is the case anyway

yeah i think santos is just having workplace humour with her colleagues. dr robby spoke with her about seeing the trauma counselor in ep 1, so it seems she’s spoken to them about it & is receiving help

If I remember correctly, Dr. McKay was going to be arrested, but they let her go after someone vouched for her and the emergency (Dr. Robbie I think?). But I still hope we get more updates on her situation.
