this is a project I was tinkering with a bit ago where I was trying to make a vtuber... I really like the result here, but when it's being used with face capture it just does not behave properly. I've since put the whole thing on the backburner but I still like how the actual facial animations came out here, and overall I do think it looks nice, artwise.
I know you're probably wondering why there's no blinking - well, I couldn't figure out how to turn that on. this is the model being animated automatically through Live2d's model preview screen, where it will moves its eyes, its face x or y axis but blinking is somehow really hidden/obscure as a feature. I had blinking animated though. it also would never work properly for me with face capture lol.
this is something I'll probably revisit in the future, though I just don't know if face capture is meant for me. I hate light in my face and webcams struggle to capture my face movements unless I'm just being blasted by it apparently. I blame my thin eyes, it thinks they're closed the entire damn time.
this was however a fun experiment in animation. it was my third attempt at the vtuber thing, and the first two were just awful, I was more or less just dipping my toes in the water there.
