Basically, a Crazy Ivan is a quick turn around a Russian sub did to see if they were being followed. The aft side of a submarine, where the propeller (Navy calls them screws) is a blind spot.

I hope you will stick with it and post opinions/commentary on patrean, but I don't think it will get you any new views/subscribers.

I honestly think it's one of the best pilots in TV history. To be able to introduce an ensemble cast of nine and do that much world building, while not being too exposition-y and providing a great storyline: it's absolutely incredible. If they hadn't wrapped things up nicely with the movie afterwards (Serenity)... omg it would have been too cruel!
