Coming in late, but as a heavy game player, the show is so freaking accurate that almost all fans of the Fallout franchise love this show. Inside joke at 37:00, the wasteland golden rule relate to how you always end up doing side quests instead of staying on your main questline only, haha. And what you are seeing them use in the inhalers is Jet, I believe, which is a Chem. Chems factor large into the game, each one has a different bonus effect for you, but you can also get addicted to them, and you have to go to a doctor to get unaddicted. The game is hella fun, you really should play it. But you don't play any of these characters, you do meet NPCs but none of them match these characters exactly. For every game except New Vegas, you start out as a Vault Dweller. And you get to create your own character, too, so you can make them look like you want them to, with Fallout 4 being far more robust than Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Fallout 4 which has been suggested to you, is set in Boston, whereas the show is set in California, and the closest you will get to the show setting is New Vegas, which is where the show is headed in season 2, as you see a shot of the New Vegas strip at the end of the season finale. I'm excited to watch season 2 with you when it comes out!

Like what the voiceover on the TV in Vault 32 was saying about the mice. • I like how this episode gets at what the scientist told Lucy - that she will need to adapt in order to make it on the surface. And that she does so but keeps her core values. He also asks her “will you still want the same things when you’ve become a different animal altogether?” and I think that connects well with what we see of The Ghoul / Cooper Howard in this episode. He is so very far from the man he was all those years ago who protested at the idea of his character killing another character.

In the opening scene, that family definitely looked well off & they wouldn't let anyone else into their shelter. I guess what I'm saying is that these are descendents, I'm theorizing, of people who held power and privilege -- and that attitude has been passed down. I'm also guessing that's why her last name is important -- that she's a direct line from the people that fucked over so many others. My guess right now is that Lucy's ancestors/family had something to do with causing or did something to lead to the bombs and apocalypse. That VCR-type thing had a brand called Radiation King. 🤔 What is the ghoul inhaling/drinking??

2025-03-28 20:27:36 +0000 UTCEnd of Ep 3 Comment: I got the sense the suits are not radiation proof -- the look exchanged in the group of people watching was like, "Sure, they do" perhaps to dupe him into being their spokesperson. I'm wondering how much his involvement with this company/commercials, etc. may lead to some major betrayal by the company leaders. That's my prediction. I've never seen this & I don't play video games.
