Every time I hear that trembling music in the scene right after Alana gets pushed out the window and Will pulls up in the taxi, my stomach sinks to my toes. This episode F*CKED. ME. UP the first time I saw it 😂 it still does tbh! It’s truly a tragedy. I’m not confident I can explain this eloquently (nothing spoilery ahead!) but I’ve heard of people viewing the cut Hannibal gave Will as symbolic of a c-section. Like he “gave” Will a child (Abagail) and then took her away again, this time for real. I also feel like there are parallels here to what Mason did to Margot. Just monstrous and evil, he’s such a good villain. As you said in an earlier episode, “He can’t keep getting away with this!!!” 😭 Really enjoyed watching your Hannibal reactions! Looking forward to checking out your other stuff!🫰🏿

2025-03-02 04:44:54 +0000 UTCNice reaction. It does always surprise me how few people pick up on the fact Hannibal was offering Will a final chance at their last dinner. He was willing to forgive the betrayal if Will just runs with him. He’s heartbroken that he won’t in the end. Obviously he then burns it all down. It’s obviously framed deliberately as a Greek tragedy because of the Achilles/Patroclus parallels and the fact they do love each other (whatever that actually means for these two) but they in the end they destroy one another anyway. I always love the reveal of Bedelia at the end because she’s soooo unreadable it’s impossible to know what’s happening.

2025-03-01 23:39:07 +0000 UTCThe finale has me like RRRRAAAAAHHHHH GRGRHRHRHRHHHH RMRMRMRRMRMRM every fucking time, jesus christ the melodrama, the pathos, the twists and turns, the absolutely stunning cinematography, everything is on point. This is peak TV. The fucking callback to episode 1 of season 1 with the teacup line has me GAGGED, it's so good. " I think Uncle Jack sees you as a fragile little tea-cup, the finest china used for only special guests." Will is the teacup. He broke the first time Abigail almost died, when he became a killer, and was slowly reassembled by Hannibal into an altered version of what he was before that. Only to be once again broken by him. How does Will reassemble himself now that Hannibal is gone? What will he look like after this? God, what a phenomenal season of television. I can't wait for you to get into season three, it's absolutely the most unhinged out of all three. I remember I had to wait a year for season three and it was agony, after the comedown of the high that Mizumono left me with. One of the greatest season finales ever put to screen.

One of my favorite eps of TV ever along with another ep of the show. Hope you like S3, the 1st half has a different tone/style than previous seasons but I personally still love it.

It's been so long since I last saw these episodes, I'd forgotten how hard the end of season 2 goes! So much brazenly horny imagery, close-ups of orifices and fluids spurting all over the god damned place, the purple pomposity of the dialogue is dialed up to eleven, and the tension is exquisite throughout all three episodes!! The fucking metaphorical fish jello??? The tragic psychopathic yearning???? "God is beyond measure in wanton malice and matchless in his irony"????? It's just banger after banger with this one, god bless.

2025-03-01 18:19:37 +0000 UTCYOUR FACE!!!! 😂😂😂 WE LOVE A COUPLE OF QUEER PSYCHOS. Abigail is a revelation in this chapter, I was dead when I saw she was alive! For Hannibal, he let Will know his real self and so he feels betrayed by Will. In our world this seems like overreacting 😅 but in Hannibal's mind, this is just poetic justice. He is intense. 💌 PS: I love when Will says "I already did (change you)" because Will knows Hannibal feels for him things he doesn't feel with anyone else, so for Hannibal the fact that he's been this open with Will, that's a liability.
