Hi Taco, with all the issues you had with these episodes, did you get to see the scene early in Ep9 with Will & Jack fishing together on the ice? If you didn’t it is a much more important scene than it first appears.

I wonder if it was Hannibal’s or Alana’s idea for them to all have an awkward dinner together. I was thinking Alana because she does not like being on the outside of their relationship. So exciting! Yes the faster you watch the closer you get to the finale 😈

Every line of evocative, poetic and tongue-in-cheek dialogue remains as engaging as the first time I saw it. And the way it's paired with layers and layers of visual story-telling choices? The literal melding of Will and Hannibal over several episodes starting with shot-reverse shot extreme close-ups during conversations about intimacy and the transformative nature of murder progress to a literal combining of their faces on Will at the dinner table. Episode 8 has a rebirth, 9 has a becoming, and 10 a consummation of sorts at the dinner table, it's such a beautifully clean narrative progression. The ambiguity of Will's position in all of this had me on tenterhooks the first time around and it remains just as potent. Also, "You slice the ginger." gets me every fucking time, they think they're so damn funny adhgfdjhfkj
