I'd like to think I'm immune to manipulation but if Hannibal and Lestat have taught me anything, its that I am NOT. These are my emotional support manipulators. 🌸

Oh man! I just noticed, you're watchin' the TV-14 version! I think they stuck it behind AMC+ or some other sub-subscription on prime??? But I really do recommend the TV-MA version! They're both great through!

OMG I got this mixed up with another reaction channel covering this season. This is why I should never watch something with insomnia in the middle of the night and comment the next day. I am SO sorry. I’ve deleted the post as I too do not want Taco spoiled. I liked your comment and thank you for pointing this out to me!!!!

I’d eat dinner at Hannibal’s. That stuff looks absolutely gourmet and I’ve got plausible deniability!

Please don't spoil these eps for Taco. Taco did watch it in the right order. He skipped Coquilles, which Amazon has as ep 4, to this ep.

If you see Will talking about a case in his classroom, it is not relevant to the ongoing case most of the time. It does give hints towards a case that becomes the focus of the 3rd season. It was like an Easter egg for the book readers when production and the writers did not know if they would ever get to that part of the story.

FINALLY I saw this reaction and it was great! I missed Hannibal! Aaaand as a fun fact, I trained as a psychologist (although I don't practise), which is one of the reasons I love this show, there's so much to dissect! 🤣 So I wanted to make a few observations because this particular episode gives a lot of food (no pun intended) for thought about needs and empathy; If you're wondering what Hannibal wants from Will and Abigail, remember in the first episode, he talked about "being seen and understood" and claimed that he and Will are, in his own words "the same". Hobbs even says "see?" to Will. We know Will's radical empathy allows him to put himself in the minds of killers, even feeling their emotions. So Hannibal maybe sees potential in Will and Abigail, people who might understand and even accept him. Because though psychopathy lacks empathy, it doesn’t mean Hannibal is devoid of needs like affection or companionship. Even if TV often tell us different, psychopaths have feelings, they just experience them differently. And psychopathy is an spectrum, so... Keep that in mind! Also it's funny that you're always gagging about Jack (Morpheus) (I love him! 🤣) It’s curious how someone without a personality disorder, like Jack, can show so little empathy. He’s a policeman who’s seen so much horror that he’s become hardened, losing sensitivity towards those around him (like with Will or the child). On the other hand, Hannibal, despite being a psychopath, has such highly developed cognitive empathy that he becomes an emotional support for everyone around him. It’s fascinating how this series, created by brilliant minds, is so well constructed in terms of acting, script, and cinematography. I watched it years ago and still haven’t seen the last three episodes, so I’m excited to watch them with you for the first time!
