The Silent Watchers In The Woods - The Story Of Linda Arteaga

The only mystery is how people like this exist in the world without a guardian. There has to be mental illness, drug addiction, low IQ or mental impairment.

I don't think the officer conducting the interview did a very good job. Understandably he's suspicious as hell, but he barely lets Eddie get a sentence out before he's badgering him about details. I understand that this is a strategy when interrogating a suspect, but I don't think this was a particularly effective use of it. If the intent is to catch Eddie in a lie, or to otherwise extract information from him, you need to let him talk a little. Instead, it felt like the officer was overeager to pounce on Eddie before he could get anything out. I think, in part, that's why the interview is so hard to follow. Eddie is clearly a mess of a person who can't think coherently, and such a hostile approach to the interrogation didn't help. I think it would have been better to take a softer touch (at least for a few minutes) and gently ask questions and keep Eddie on track. Let Eddie tell his story a little before you basically start calling him an idiot and badgering him.

The officer doing the interviewing was driving me crazy also. Nothing paranormal here. These are two people with screws loose to begin with, and it sounds like a combination of: not too bright individuals, disorientation, possible illegal activity they are both trying to hide, possible ingestion of hallucinatory plant. I wish we could no, but I doubt we ever will.

Basically, all we know of Linda's story is the interview she gave to the news while she was in the hospital (I cover it early in the video). Her story is similar but with some key differences - particularly relating to how the two became separated.

What is Linda’s story?

Simply the best!!!

They might have been half-siblings. Hard to say for sure. Also can't say for sure why their stories were so similar but sometimes if you get two paranoid or hallucinating people together they start to feed off one another's delusions. It's a weird case but who knows what the truth is... Eddie Huff doesn't seem like a reliable guy.

The Missing Enigma

I feel like Eddie could commit any crime he wanted to and never serve a day in prison because it's literally too frustrating for the cops to talk to him

Were they even siblings? Why did they both have the same story about seeing strange people? What even was the point?

Dylan Dunn

Wow that Eddie guy was a little off kilter to say the very least.

I don’t know if Eddie is stupid, crazy, on drugs, or some combination thereof, but that interview was really hard to listen to. I’m glad no one was hurt, but I can’t help but think some major issues lie ahead for these two.

It seems clear that drugs and lack of basic common sense led to a situation that could have ended in death for each of them. I think its possible Eddie waited to contact law enforcement to allow the drugs to leave his system. It’s also possible they were both so high that neither truly understood the condition or intent of the other. Great video as always!
