Progress

When I started my Youtube channel one year ago, my set up was a broken iPhone strapped to the handle of a suitcase on top of a chair. I figured "there's probably no point investing in a $50 tripod, I doubt this whole crazy idea will work out".

Fast forward 12 months and here we are! Hitting 100,000 subscribers was a big deal for me, and it has had me both upgrading my space a little, but also considering how I can keep this going long term.

I've been approached by a lot of sponsors recently and while there are some great people... there are also some not so great people. And making content for companies just doesn't quite vibe with me.

What does vibe with me is posting to Discord all kinds of screenshots or short clips of what I am working on that day, and just generally developing my games "out in the open".

Patreon seems like a way to reconcile both of those things.

Support here would mean I could just not even think when most sponsors hit me up, and keep on focussing on creating videos and games. And it also gives me a way to share what I'm doing!

I'll be posting stuff here occasionally, but over on Discord I will be dropping all kinds of screenshots and fun stuff on a regular basis.

This is all kind of an experiment for me, and I have no idea what the future holds. If you are keen to get a front row seat to whatever the heck it is that the next leg of this journey will take me, then I would love for you to join.

But also, no pressure. Seriously. I'll be fine either way.
