"Can you jump on a quick call?"
The answer should always be NO, but we don't live in that perfect world. Not everybody has the luxury to say "no" to their boss, manager or board members whenever they want to keep that productivity level up. These animations are a reminder of the fact that each Zoom, Meet, Teams or in-office meeting costs valuable time and company money. And let's be honest, the majority of them SHOULD be an email. Or, in the case of OpenAI, one board meeting turned everybody's eyeballs and watched as the drama was unfolding on X.
I made two animations to reflect some of this.
The Meeting Room
The OpenAI's Board Meeting
For each of these versions you'll receive 2 GIF files (original + web optimized) and 2 video files (MP4 + MOV). The latter are smaller and better suited for embedding on the web.
Here's a quick 30-second time-lapse of how I edited and animated the illustration in Procreate:
It was fun to make these and let's hope the OpenAI drama is over🤞 and more companies will switch to an asynchronous work culture.
As a programmer with a passion for illustration and animation, I turned to ChatGPT for the initial Meeting Room image. After experimenting with several prompts, this is the version that truly captured my vision. It's where the idea started to slowly take shape.

As you can see, DALL-E is not very good at writing text, but that wasn't a problem. I imported it into Procreate and, after a bit of tweaking and retouching, this was the base version from which I started animating.

Hope you like it!
