It was on March 22nd, 2015 that we played a show at Roxy and Dukes in Dunellen NJ. This was the first time that we ever shared the stage with Joe Dorsey as our keyboardist and Dan Monda as our drummer! This version of Castle Builder is different than the recording but I think really holds true to the spirit of the original recording that was featured on our first album General Winter’s Secret Museum. Joe Dorsey adds some tasty keyboards to this guitar heavy tune, and Dan Monda plays the drums with a respect for the original but with giant own added flair.
It’s crazy to think that these two marvelous musicians have been in the band since 2015 and we’re only just now releasing an album that features them on the recording! But believe us, it will be worth the wait! In the meantime, travel back in time with us and listen to this live version of Castle Builder from the show that would be the first of many, and the beginning of a beautiful friendship and musical partnership!
