BCGR v1.82 Update

All the relevant download sites have been updated, so here I am for the status/roadmap post!

These are the final two high priority pages in need of filler art:

P175: Faction Wealth Tests.

P194: Solar Grid Energy, Religion, Law and Labor.

Last month I said the next update would come when I had the art for those, but those will be finished near the end of the month and I'm going to be very busy then so I released v1.82 now, without art in those pages. I'll be showing that off later.

What I do have is a much better idea of what to do after that. Here's the plan I have in mind, working off the current budget:

August

P76: Character Creation Example.

P107: Mecha Construction Example.

These two are at the top of the middle priority list. I think the chapter could use a good example of what a character in the setting with a customized mass-production unit would look like, and the pages themselvse can be transformed from a wasteful single-column format to a proper double-column format with art to fill the empty space.

September

2 extra pages for the Rogue's Gallery Player Mecha section. These will be the Crustamens (Player Biomecha mentioned a few times in various flavor text entries) and a Stork-class Carrier (Antigrav airship for Players who want to do the ship captain thing). Not only are these two important examples that deserve space in the book, but also, more importantly, I need an excuse for 3 additional pages of content.

Wait, what?

Yes. See, the printer that DTRPG uses has some quirks, and for books the format and size of BCGR the inner pagecount has to be a number divisible by 4 but with an empty page at the end.

BCGR has an inner pagecount of 308, but the final page is not empty. That means I need to add 3 more pages in there, somewhere, or else the printer will tack on 3 empty white pages to the book on its own. This gives me 3 options:

October

I finish the third new page then send this thing to the printer at last.

So that's the plan. Let's see how it works out in practice.

Gimmick Out.
