Hello Patrons :)
It's release day! And whilst it's been a good while since a release day post - rest assured that lots has been happening at BrickHawk behind the scenes.
If you are in a BrickHawk region with retailer Amazon, then chances are you've seen some BrickHawk alerts that are well over RRP - and on closer inspection contain multiple sets. These so-called "bundles" are often the same price as if you were to the buy the sets separately, however BrickHawk was only ever matching them to one of the sets in the bundle...
...until now! Over the last few weeks, BrickHawk has been in training to get some smarts on bundle detection - and now has some pretty good ideas about which "sets" are actually bundles. These sets are given the BUNDLE label:

Not only that, if bundles aren't your thing then you can easily disable Hawk Alerts, SUPERHAWKS and THEMEHAWKS for bundles! Just flip the switch in your account settings and you won't receive an alert for a bundle listing if the price, availability, etc changes:

Currently this setting applies to any retailer, although so far BrickHawk has only learnt about bundles at Amazon (AU, CA, NL, UK, US) and MyHobbies (AU).
If you would like to see a particular retailer's bundles prioritised for this feature, please let me know in the comments below, or email info@brickhawk.com.
Over the last couple of months much effort has gone into BrickHawk behind the scenes, to make sure it's detecting price and availability changes properly, sending out Hawk Alerts quickly, and ensuring that when things do go wrong you don't notice!
In particular, Amazon, Walmart, Kmart, eBay and BigW have all had significant updates to make sure these sets are up-to-date and accurate (no more eBay prices the the wrong currency - fingers crossed!).
New servers have also been commissioned to ensure there is enough capacity, and more importantly to improve load balancing. This has ensured that if a BrickHawk service does go offline, another one seamlessly takes over. It's already meant an outage was avoided earlier this year when the BrickHawk API service went offline in one location - another location was ready and able to take over and keep everything going!
Monitoring and observability of BrickHawk systems and services is also seeing continued uplift. For example, if a retailer's sets are not updated quickly enough, an alert is sent to yours truly for investigation and resolution. This new level of monitoring and alerting was behind a lot of the improvements that went into fixing issues with the retailers mentioned above.

Observing real-time price detection frequency to detect problems and send alerts
As always, thank you so much for your continued support! Without you, BrickHawk would not be what it is today. You really are the best :)
If you have any feedback or questions about bundles or anything else, please don't hesitate to comment below, or email info@brickhawk.com.
And look out for another post from me very soon with more exciting news to come!
