Mute this set!

It's release day! And this release comes straight from a patron who submitted their "best idea for BrickHawk" a few months ago!

Mute this set

The idea captures something many of you can probably relate to:

Mute this set for 30 days - helps prevent when Amazon etc adjust pricing by a few cents and causing repeated alerts.

Whilst you can already mute SUPERHAWKS per LEGO theme, mute SUPERHAWKS and THEMEHAWKS for individual LEGO sets, and mute all sets from a given retailer, BrickHawk was always missing "mute this one set from this one retailer" - until now!

And to make it super easy to access, right when you need it most, you can activate these mutes directly from the Hawk Alert emails! Just pick how long you want to mute the set for from the new "Hawk Actions" section of the email:

Unlike the existing SUPERHAWK/THEMEHAWK mutes, these new mutes can be set to expire - with options to expire in 24hrs, 3 days and 7 days. And if you are setting the mute for a single retailer, you can also set it to last forever.

Depending on your BrickHawk Premium pledge, you will have access to different mute options:

You can see all of the options (and remove mutes) when you are activating them from the links in the Hawk Alert email, or by using the "View mutes for this set" link on the "Alerts" tab for each individual set on brickhawk.com:

This is very much the first version/beta release!

Already planned is extending the existing retailer mutes to also have an expiry (e.g. "Mute all sets from Target for 7 days" - handy for when Target have a store-wide sale and are generating some Hawk Alert noise!).

And also single view on brickhawk.com of ALL of the different mutes you have set across retailers, themes, and individual sets - a one-stop-shop so you can ensure you know exactly what you have mutes.

Other updates

Behind the scenes lots has been happening to ensure BrickHawk is accurately tracking the many retailers it follows. Notably older sets that are now out of stock have been marked as such for Zavvi and iwoot, and Walmart has also had a big refresh. And in Australia, Kmart now includes details about which states a set is out of stock in, allowing you to quickly see if the set is available in your state or not. 

PARTHAWKS has also received a lot of attention to support changes happening with the Bricks and Pieces service. BrickHawk is still tracking both Bricks and Pieces and Pick A Brick, and will do so whilst both are still available. The PARTHAWKS page is also much faster now, and sorting/searching/filtering is coming!
