Hey Amazon - be quiet!

If you've got a SUPERHAWK on Amazon, or a THEMEHAWK on Architecture, you are probably well and truly over the Hawk Alerts from the last few days... all 100 odd!

Either Amazon are testing a new pricing strategy, or they have a bug, which means that every 30 minutes they drop the price by anywhere between a few cents and a dollar or so. 

Alerts for this set from Amazon have just been disabled for everyone, to give you all a break. If you are waiting for the price to bottom out before buying, then it's up to you to keep refreshing! If I feel like the price has stopped falling, I will re-enable it, so you may see another alert when that happens, but aiming to make sure it's nothing like the last few days!

A better solution is needed though, and a few of you have emailed in ideas - thank you! The solution that I think will work best is to have a link in the Hawk Alert email: "Mute this set from this retailer for 24 hours". If clicked, for the next 24 hours you (and only you) will not be bothered by it. Perhaps two links - "mute for 24hrs" and "mute forever" (because you have already bought the set and don't want to know you could have bought it cheaper!!).

The idea behind giving the mute power to you, rather than BrickHawk deciding for you, is for those times where you actually want these alerts. You might be waiting for the absolute lowest price, and if BrickHawk were to globally mute alerts if the price change was only a few cents, you may miss the 100 alerts for the individual 25c price drops, that in all add up to a $25 discount! This particular set (Empire State Building) is a good example of this - if BrickHawk didn't report the tiny price drops over the last 5 days, you wouldn't know it's gone from $119 to $93...
