Ignore Out Of Stock sets, Insights comes to brickhawk.com, and more!

It's release day! And a lot has been going on behind the scenes to improve BrickHawk - so let's jump into the new stuff first...

Ignore Out Of Stock for Hawk Alerts

For a little while now, SUPERHAWKS and THEMEHAWKS have had the option to "Ignore Out Of Stock" sets. But regular Hawks for individual sets have not had this option - until now!

With this set to on, you will no longer receive Hawk Alerts (i.e. price changes, Availability Alerts, Offer alerts, etc) if the set is Out Of Stock.

Important note - "Ignore out of stock" is set to 'on' by default. If you want to continue to receive alerts for a set that is Out Of Stock with a retailer, you will need to switch this option 'off'! 

BrickHawk Insights comes to brickhawk.com!

Before now, BrickHawk Insights has been a feature of Hawk Alert emails, exclusively for Middle Hawk and Big Hawk patrons. There's been some great feedback from patrons, which has led to new Insights being added and improvements being made to existing Insights - thank you!

With the addition of predicted retirement dates, as well as lowest retailer prices now, in-stock and ever, several of you have asked for this information to be available for each set on brickhawk.com. So, here it is:

The eagle-eyed will notice that "Insights" has replaced "Price graph". Rest assured that the price graph will be back! It's currently on hiatus, as it really wasn't working that well and is now getting some much needed love to try and make it more useful.

That's right Little Hawks - so you can see what Insights is all about, for the next 7 days you  have access to BrickHawk Insights. Enjoy!

What else has been happening at BrickHawk?

Lots of things behind the scenes, especially keeping the retailer listings up-to-date, as well as performance and stability improvements.

• The duration of a set's current availability is now shown for each retailer, i.e. "Available now (3 weeks)" or "Sold out (33 mins)"
• Offer alerts and Availability alerts no longer trigger if the change is just a lowercase to uppercase (or vice versa) change. This means no more alerts for "Retired Product" changing to "Retired product"!
• More hardware!! BrickHawk has had some hefty infrastructure upgrades, which means BrickHawk's database now has dedicated hardware and is performing significantly faster. There is more planned too - another server is already being commissioned.
• [Retailer] HobbyCo availability detection fixed (sorry about the incorrect "retired and rare set is back in stock for RRP" alerts :(... )
• [Retailer] MYER now has "Out Of Stock" sets correctly tagged as "OOS"
• [Retailer] Target stock detection improvements
• [Retailer] Toyworld is back after a pause
• Several other retailers have had some tweaks to reduce "flappiness" - sets that flipped in and out of stock incorrectly

It's definitely been a busy few weeks, especially with all of the recent LEGO sales across a number of retailers. Hopefully you've all managed to snag some awesome bargains and are busily building them!!
