Hiding and Ignoring 'Out Of Stock' sets

It's release day! Over the last month, BrickHawk has been learning what "Out Of Stock" looks like for all of the retailers it follows. This was no small task - across 54 retailers in 12 regions, BrickHawk currently has 67 different availability statuses - and knowing which ones mean "Out Of Stock" is tricky!

For some retailers it's obvious - a set is either "In Stock" or "Out Of Stock". But what about when retailers have availability statuses like "Call to check product availability" or "Only available in store"? BrickHawk has taken the stance that if you can't buy it online, it's "Out Of Stock".

With this knowledge, BrickHawk now has some new features to make browsing sets simpler, and also give you more options on whether or not you receive hawk alerts for Out Of Stock sets.

Out Of Stock tag and retailer listings filter

On any retailer listings page, you can now toggle the "Hide Out Of Stock" button, and hide all products that are Out Of Stock.

Ignoring Out Of Stock sets for SUPERHAWKS and THEMEHAWKS

Ever received a SUPERHAWK alert for an awesome deal only to then see it's Out Of Stock? Sometimes this is OK - it might be Out Of Stock online, but you can rush in-store and buy the set off the shelf and get that awesome deal! 

But if the retailer is online-only, or you only ever buy online, you would probably rather not get that alert, right?

In fact it was this scenario - a Patron receiving an alert for an Out Of Stock set - that led to that Patron requesting this feature be built - and here it is :)

On both the Retailers page and Themes page you can now configure your SUPERHAWKS and THEMEHAWKS to "Ignore if set is Out Of Stock". If you toggle this on, and there is a SUPERHAWK or THEMEHAWK alert for an Out Of Stock set, BrickHawk will ignore it and not send you an alert. 

Retailers without availability tracking

There are still some retailers where the availability of their sets is not being tracked (e.g. eBay stores). For those stores, these new features will not mean anything. This wont be forever though - bringing availability tracking to all retailers is the goal.
