2023 Wrap up and Moving Forward
Added 2024-01-01 07:00:08 +0000 UTCHey all! It's been a fantastic year for us here at the KSL; we've had 40 weeklies and a $4500 tournament, with all of the top Korean players participating! Shoutout to herO for winning 17 KSLs this year.
Altogether we have put over $20,000 into the Korean Starcraft scene, and it's all thanks to you, all 150+ of you! Thank you for entrusting us with your hard-earned money, and I hope you've enjoyed the many hours of content from all the best creators, I know I have!
That being said, you may have noticed the monthly amount in the Patreon decreasing over time, we have now dropped down to ~$1150 per month, which clearly does not cover the $400 weeklies. In the last few months we have skipped weeks to keep it going, but it looks like we're going to have to take more drastic action in 2024 to keep the KSL running.
The plan right now is to move to a bi-weekly (once every other week) $400 tournament. This is clearly not ideal, but I will do anything I can to keep KSL going, as long as people are here to support it we will keep putting on tournaments for the Korean scene.
