Reasons for Card Choices and Day's Undoing Tricks
Added 2023-06-07 20:23:34 +0000 UTCSo I have had a few people ask me why I am testing Set Adrift in my Modern deck. I think it is playable because of how the deck plays Blood Moon in the side and this is a clean 1 mana answer at times. It's an alternative to Leyline Binding.
It also allows you to delve your fetchlands away to make your Day's Undoing draws better. There are matchups where you don't always have the time to get Narset to Day's Undoing with the combo.
This often becomes the case when you have Teferi and Day's Undoing, depending on your hand, you can also pull off a huge tempo combo.
Here are two subtle combos that I have posted on my Twitter that I don't think many people know or have thought about yet.

I’ll try to see if I have time to make one, no plans so far though since I still have Pioneer to focus on. I am attending a team trio Sunday at my local lgs which is Modern so it would actually help me test if set adrift is viable or not.

2023-06-07 20:43:27 +0000 UTCI did this Solitude/Day's combo against Will Pulliam at the SCG Richmond RCQ (Single Elimination), where I 5-0'd for my invite to Dreamhack Atlanta, my first US RC that I plan on attending. I double evoke'd Solitude and Day's Undoing to clear his board while keeping both my Solitudes. This of course also works with Subtlety.
