What will the future hold for ONE Championship? And goodbye Bellator

Lots to talk about this week. One of ONE Championship's brightest stars, Jonathan Haggerty first, and his recent fight with kickboxing-mixed martial artist Fabricio Andrade. Then, the bombshell story that ONE Championship might not be long for this world, and my take on that.

And then it's over to Bellator 301 before a dive into the huge news that PFL has acquired the promotion and will fold it into its own operation in 2024. Aside from the news, it's my opinion of what this really means and whether "PFLlator" can actually hope to deliver on their promises to create a genuine competitor to the industry giant that is the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

And whilst the UFC's market dominance is on my mind I take a little look at news coming out from their parent company TKO and what that might mean for a certain angry bald man in the future.

I'll drop at least one more episode this week, so if you prefer to hear me talk about weird fights than weird blokes in suits never fear, that content is right around the corner.

Thank you so much!

Great episode! It can be easy to forget about how the external pressures can effect fighters. Fighters in Bellator, ONE and even PFL have got to be worried about the change in the air which could effect their in ring/ cage performances.

Something I've seen lost in the rush to celebrate/mourn ONE, is that they managed to get a US athletic commission to allow knees on the ground. I want ONE around to at least keep pushing for that. Plus the paying Muay Thai fighters better purses.
