Damn, even death threats. I’m so glad you didn’t stop with the channel over this. Wanted to write more in detail of what and why, but oh well, maybe some other time. Anyways, thanks for existing, thanks for posting every day. I’m so glad i’ve found your channel when i did. You’ve changed my life and made going through shit much much easier.

Blending families is incredibly difficult (4+ years experience in this area). The instinct to protect & side with one's own children is very strong, often being the cause of family strife & marital issues. But in a recent session with my therapist, the advice was clear: my duty is to my children first, up to & including the end of my marriage if necessary. While my situation & the OP's situation are quite different, this story makes me wonder what past behaviors, if any, contribute to Lily's insisting OP leave her husband. Obviously the stepsister & former boyfriend are the major AH in the situation, but as the wife/mom in a blended family, I think there's much more history to this story than OP shared and/or knows about. On another note: I'm sorry about your dad, Mark. I can only imagine the myriad of emotions you're experiencing at this time. I hope for more peace & comfort for both you and your dad. 🤗💛

Definitely ESH except OP, Anna and James are the biggest AH for sure. I think maybe the husband is acting the way he is to have unfettered access to the grandchild? Having said that in private he should be condemning the behaviour but I don't think it really warrants divorce at this stage. Sorry your dad isn't doing the best, if there's anything I can do, please let me know and please don't feel pressure to post content, I think the majority of your audience will understand.
