Tests negative for sapphire but the manufacturers are adamant it ‘contains’ sapphire…have you ever heard of a mineral/sapphire combo for crystal?

They test negative so if the test shows positive for sapphire it’s solid sapphire

I've never heard of this before! So there is mineral glass that is coated with a thin layer of sapphire that is sold as pure sapphire and will test as pure sapphire?! That is very disturbing! How many of our AliExpress watches then actually have mineral glass crystals?!
