Patreon in 2022

TLDR: I want to acknowledge that I have not made Patreon a priority the last year and I aim to change that in the next year.

Streaming and content creation is my job and I need to clean up my act when it comes to treating it as such. I’ve made efforts to stream more than I normally would, cover content I thought would be troublesome and organize teams to create things that I could not on my own. While I did not execute everything I’d like to perfectly, I’m very happy with my progress on Twitch & YouTube.

That being said, platforms like Patreon, Twitter, and Discord, have fallen to the wayside. I knew at several points that I needed to do a better job and dedicate more time to them, but decided against it for one reason or another. Moving forward this year, I have resolved myself to dedicate the time necessary to rework the Patreon system- including tiers, messages, benefits and how they are fulfilled in the background.

Now that I am working with more people, who are happy to help me organize and execute on these plans, I hope to do a much better job in 2022. I’m working on content calendars, task lists, and weekly meetings that should keep Patreon on my radar and ensure that things get posted here in a timely fashion. Part of that is checking my messages more regularly and collecting feedback from you all.

What can you do?

Just as the people I’m working with will hold me accountable, I’d encourage anyone on here who is missing a benefit, notices an error, has an idea etc. to message me and let me know. If you have any thoughts on what benefits you’d like to see offered in 2022, I’d be very interested in hearing from you. I hope that together, we can make this platform something that justifies your continued support.

Apologies again for the negligence regarding Patreon, I hope to demonstrate my sincerity and resolve through action over the next few months.
