I was there a couple of times when I visited Houston, but it's all a bit fuzzy, glad I had Paddy the full time designated driver.

Oh yes! Of course Paddy used to bartend there, his first job in Houston, I think. I also played a few acoustic opening spots there during the same time… it's quite likely I ordered a beer or two from him back in those days. ~ Chad

Remember this place: Pig & Whistle Long-since demolished, this ramshackle house on the corner of Alabama and Greenbriar was a snaky labyrinth of connected spaces which obscured site lines and made any heavily attended show there something of an effort. Herschel Berry, Southern Backtones, and a mish-mash of rockers and roots acts made the Pig a venue to check before you left home for a musical evening.
