Remaking from scratch ㅣIGORㅣ03.I THINK

3:35 - Sample
The drum beat was sampled from Nkono Teles's Get Down (0:01:88 ~ 0:03:88). You need to chop the 0:03:27 part and put it in front to loop the sample. and make sure it fills a bar at 121 BPM. Then Giving some energy around 145 Hz and a -5.5 db gain around 2100 Hz to weaken the crunchy sound we don‘t need.

4:53 - Wah Bass
The verse starts with this funky wah-like bass sound. It brings in some disco vibes instantly. For this sound, I opened the OP-XA, set the default saw oscillators to 16’.  The wah-like effect was created by a hight reso filter to start slowly and then decay quickly at the sound beginning. So I set the attack time to 120 ms, decay to 400 ms, and sustain to 0 in the FILTERENVELOPE. Twist the FILTERMOD to the max, and that's the knob to control the amount of the effect. And In the filter, I lower the filter FREQ down to 40 Hz and set the Resonance to almost max. and that's mostly done. But I brought the second oscillator to adjust the tone. Then gritty it with an overdrive (0.25 wet, 0.65 drive).
There were two of this bass in the original track. I just copy it, adjust some detail to make them sound different, and pan them to each side.

6:50 - 808 Bass
This is a raw and punchy 808. So I start with the saw wave. lower the filter cutoff down to 930 Hz and raise the reso a bit. and modulate the Coarse with a short Env to a punchy attack. For extra harmonics, I add a 34 dB drive distortion to it, make it dirty and rough. And then I add a kick outside to get a harder hitting.

12:53 - Pluck Bass
This pluck bass is chunky and funky and brought a lot of dynamic in the song when it was playing around the drum sample. So I started with the analog engine. I took two saw and a triangle wave. Raise the osc 2 an octave. A -12db gain in osc 2 and 3. And I set the filter1's Cutoff to 71.8 HZ, and KBD to 0.5, which barely could listen to the sound, and modulated the 75 amount of cutoff with ENV 3, making it super bouncy. In the FX, I add a 22db drive soft clip but 50 wet, and some of the chorus, which is the more thick and subtle sound.

19:58 - Bird Sound
This sound effect is similar to the patch I made in EARFQUAKE: a basic wave with a pitch changing. These sounds share a common idea when you program them.

First of all, you need to determine the amount of change, which is how much. Here,  I need to have two semitone changes; secondly, the time of this change and the rate of the approximate rate are how much. Here,  the sound is similar to the Koel's chirp, with the pitch first slow and then fast rising about 1 second. So along with this idea, to modulate the volume or pitch, these types of sounds would be easy to make in any synthesizer.
