Rebranding and other news

Hey everyone,

As you can tell from the title, we're going to be rebranding. This will only affect the Patreon page, not the GTAO Discord.

The reason for this is that we're branching out into other games (namely RDR2 in this case, of which the invite will be released soon), as well. Since we want to offer you the maximum amount of benefits, we have decided that instead of opening multiple Patreon pages for each of our servers, we'd unify them into one.

This, of course, means that we can't just use the current layout of the Patreon anymore, but will have to create a "brand" so to speak. What it is exactly, we still have to figure out, but it is probably going to be called Discord Gaming Network, or DGN for short.

Now you're probably wondering what kind of benefits I was talking about earlier and I'll get to that now;

To put it simple, your pledge will be acknowledged across all of our servers, meaning that you will have the same benefits, no matter what server you initially pledged for. The option to that would to have it all separate, but we think it's a bit of a stretch in terms of monetization.

The long term goal is to reach sustainability for all of our servers in every sense of the word. We want to be able to provide the same experience across all of our servers, whether that be our bots, events, game servers or whatever else you can think of. It also means finally rewarding our staff, which has been working hard to keep the server safe and fun. As much as many people might regard moderation as something that does not justify a monetary reward, we're still using our spare time for something that can be very stressful. Time we could be using for other things. We hope you can understand.

As for when this change will be rolled out - We're aiming for the next few days to weeks, so look forward to that.

The last bit of news is... well, the person who is writing this right now:

Hi! it's me, Funnypig. A few of you may still remember me. After a longer hiatus after a disagreement from the former staff's side, including me, and Omar, we've decided to come back to the table and talk. We have decided that we do want to work together again, yay!

While we do not want to promise that we'll all be back in the GTAO server, you'll definitely find most of the former staff team in the new server, which will also officially be owned by me and act as a sister server to the GTAO server.

We'll still be working closely together to make the server experience as seamless and close as possible.
