So, you might have noticed I haven’t posted anything lately like I should have. Or maybe you didn’t -unless people comment or like things, I have no idea if any of you even look on here. But if you’ve been waiting, I’m sorry. This week has been a bit rough. My mom went into the hospital Thursday for surgery and was supposed to be released Sun. They kept her until Tuesday, and though she was ready to leave, I’m not sure she should have come home. She lives with us, so I’ve basically been juggling her care along with the kids and everything-I’m exhausted and I’m not even the one who had surgery.

There have been a lot of complications to her recovery, which lands us to right now, where I’m sitting next to her, back at the hospital, while she gets fluids, lab work, and xrays. We’ve been here since 9 AM, and I don’t even know if they’re going to let her go home today. We shall see. My mom asked me if I brought my work and I just laughed. There’s too much going on and I can’t focus. (I didn’t even bring my laptop. I’m typing this on my phone.) I’ve written a total of three paragraphs in the last week. Three. I usually average about 2,000 words a day. I’m of the firm belief that any words are better than none, but I’m still frustrated.

And I feel bad making y’all wait. So thank you for your patience. If I don’t put up anything soon, I’ll put the account on hiatus until I do. I don’t want everyone getting charged just to read my updates.
