East Bound Chapter 12 Part 2

So I didn't get any writing done last week. Turns out helping my mom pack, clean her house and move her stuff cross county (by ourselves) took a lot of energy. It was a crazy week. I was reminded how big Texas is. I fell out of a (parked) UHaul in Houston and have a pretty large scab up my arm. To be fair, Uhaul trucks are quite tall and my mom and I...are not. So that was fun. We saw a lot of cows and horses, a few goats, hawks, elk and antelope. I learned that there is such a thing as a Cowboy Church. (Saw several of those.) I drove a 15 foot Uhaul (with a car trailer!) for the first time. We listened to audiobooks and I introduced my mom to Maureen Johnson via the Truly Devious audiobook. By the time we hit Seattle, we were both exhausted. Then we still had to unload the truck and return it, which led to a bed frame landed on my already injured arm. Now I have a lump on my shoulder. Yay!

It's great to be home and writing again. I'm waiting for editorial notes on Curses and in the mean time I'm getting pages down on East Bound and also writing the follow up book to Curses tentatively called Gifted for now. I hope you're all doing well out there in internet land.
