Hi everyone first and foremost thank you for the donations : ) This is the first of our dev logs that we’ll be releasing on a bi-weekly basis. We hope you find it interesting!
The game takes place in a 21st century dungeon where you and your team of urban explorers are trying to discover if the rumors about this place are true, and if so.. how deep it really goes. Some of the stuff you’ll probably encounter down here include: mutated creatures, government conspiracies, unexplained / metaphysical phenomena, shadow magic, toxicological/ biological crises, booby traps and more. (We'll do a lore post some time)
It's been in development since about December of last year and progress has been moving really fast. We're hoping to release a playable demo for you guys in the coming months!
We want to try to capture the essence of dungeon crawling in the way that it’s traditionally depicted in media, which oft isn't what we actually feel when playing it in video game form. Below are some pictures of what we want playing it to feel like:

Most importantly its going to be a funny and crazy social experience following alot of the sensibilities we had with WizMUD, but this time it'll feel more like a game than just an ambient social space. The tone of this one's going to be dark and dire, but ultimately rooted in positive group vibes against all odds : )
If you die your character will drop a soul stone and your friends can pick it up and revive you at the fire. While someone's holding the stone, the deceased can talk to them through this distorted / spectral audio filter. It's funny and honestly feels pretty weird to hold a tiny ethereal version of your friend in your hand. You can also put them in your pocket and their voice gets muffled, its awesome. (This is just a first iteration for prototyping and will probably go through alot of changes)

We've been working on a system for generating variations of room prefabs quickly. This ones just a hallway piece but the dungeon's gonna be made up of bunch of pieces that work like this, so that when they repeat, they'll feel a bit different from one another. Sorry about the rats
You can break boxes now and it feels great so I've been putting boxes everywhere !!!!! > : 3 There's also floors that break when you walk over them.
