December 2025 Update

Happy holidays, everyone! I'm sure I don't have to explain why THIS one was a bit late, but just in case, the 24th was Christmas Eve and I was spending time with my family!
Then allergies hit me. Yikes!

Regardless, the mysterious bar now actually has graphics!
Introducing.. the super bar! You can purchase Supers from Maple Leaf and they will be a powerful attack used to clear the screen!

A few playtesters and people playing the demo thought it'd be cool to have, and I think it makes sense to have stuff to clear out cleanables faster.

unfortunately, no ACTUAL supers are implemented, yet, but...

the tuning fork will use some of your super to activate. There's also some new graphics accompanying it!

Not much to show on levels. In my infinite genius, i set playtesting over when a lot of the playtesters were going over finals, and only recently were they free. Cherrypost is generally good, while Pastel Park will be getting a few room re-dos. After a few more level play-throughs, we'll be on to tiling!

But.. if we're not working on levels, what are we working on?
Well, if you paid attention to the wording of the last post, you'll notice that the Rat Tank is a miniboss!

Queen Matsumoto will be the boss of world 1! And with her sketched out, World 1 has a full skeleton built!
Of course, I think we should revisit Castle Matsumoto eventually. But it's amazing to me that we're this far along!

Matsumoto, as alluded to by the treasures, is a wrestler type. She'll remove her queen garb to reveal a wrestling suit underneath, and start relentlessly attacking you, summoning guards alongside her.

She's not working with the rats, but she's, you know, not exactly happy you're breaking shit in her kingdom, and instead of talking it out like a normal employer, she decided to fight. Taiki doesn't mind.

Like Taiki, Matsumoto also has access to her own suit of supers! This is one of the main differences between bosses and minibosses.
