It's been a minute since I've done much active work with beestat...it's taken a backseat for a while as I've worked on managing the lives of my kids now that they are officially out of school for the rest of the year. You may have seen mention of my COVID K12 Community, something I tried to start to help other parents in the same situation. It didn't really take off, which is fine. I have my ideas on that...but I had set other things aside to build and promote it. I believe our kids are going to pay the price for the relaxed attitude our school corporations and parents are taking, but all I can do at this point is focus on my own family.
Anyways...since I stopped paying attention my website certificate expired and the database ran out of disk space. Both things were remedied quickly but otherwise no major issues. A couple of new Patrons have joined (thanks!) and daily active users have dropped and begun to settle close to 400.
So what's next? The last thing I was hardcore working on was bug fixing...and wow did that pay dividends. The amount of emails I got in the last few weeks was minimal...which means beestat is essentially just working for people. I have a few things to wrap up here which I'll be doing over the next couple weeks as I catch up. I am itching to work on some new features again, so I may pick up that torch as well depending on how busy I am at home.
Thanks to everyone for maintaining your pledges during all this and for being understanding of the short time away. Your support means a lot and knowing I didn't have to worry about beestat for a while really helped. Stay safe out there!
