Bug Fixes

A couple weeks ago I got a little crazy and started developing a bunch of updates to the Comparisons page. These features are available for Patrons but are still pretty buggy and lacking. I really want to work on them but I had to pull myself back because a few other things needed my attention first.

All of those things are outstanding bugs. I've said this before, but in order to keep this project running in a sustainable way I need to have as few bugs as possible. Other than making beestat better, this drastically reduces the number of support emails I get. So instead of doing fun new things, I've been debugging every single error report that shows up in my logs.

The good news is that things are looking really good. There's not really any bad news other than I still need a couple more weeks to finish this effort. At the moment I'm in the midst of a bunch of major changes to the API simply so I can log things differently so I can actually debug a database issue. Hopefully in two weeks I'll be ready to revisit metrics.

Beestat Community

Someone commented that it was a bit difficult to find information on beestat sometimes between all the different places I was hanging out. They were right, so the beestat community was born. It's still small at this point, so come on over and join the discussion. I think we can build an awesome community around the ecobee and how we use and tune our HVAC systems. Plus, I'll be spending more of my time there and less in other places which should help me save some time.
