Welcome New Patreon Supporters + a new Sponsored Video
Added 2017-10-24 14:35:09 +0000 UTCThank you to all my Patreon supporters new and old, your help is totally appreciated and I will keep doing my best to bring you great content as often as I can. It's a busy month with a lot of new AAA games so the content is coming thick and fast :)
I have also took on another sponsored video to help me, this will only be the third one I have done and as always it had to meet my requirements before I agreed. I have probably turned down about 10 - 15 since my last sponsored video due to the fact the games sucked. First and foremost the game has to be free, I will not do paid games for a fee and second I have to be able to speak my mind, I refuse to accept scripts or allow PR companies to silence my videos, a copy of the agreement is pasted below, the game is World of Tanks Blitz:
"I played WOT a few years ago and enjoyed it right up to the point that they made "Gold" premium bullets, I understand they have stopped this Pay to win mechanic and it's now a good level playing field.
I would be happy to do a dedicated video on my Worthabuy channel provided I am able to speak my mind on the game and am not being told to say things that are not my own opinion."
Their reply
"The idea of the sponsorship is to feature the game in your channel, not to buy your opinion, so of course you are allowed to speak your mind and present an honest opinion about the game. At the same time, we also wouldn't like you to thrash the game so please try to frame any criticism as constructive (example: "golden bullets are shit and break the game" wouldn't be acceptable, but "the game could be better without golden bullets as they are unbalanced for X Y Z reasons" is fine)"
My Reply
"That sounds fine, I am prepared to do a video in line with other sponsored video's that I have done, these will not have a score or a thumb up or down, they are purely information video about the product."
So am happy to do an info video about the game, it helps the channel at the same time. Sure I will have to endure the abuse that these video's bring but these videos pay the bills, the haters don't. I always post the details of sponsored video to my patreons as you guys are the people that support my channel and I want to remain transparent.
