Channel Evolution Discussion

Hi guys, first off I want to thank you for your support for the Oculus sponsor deal that just ended.  I asked you guys if I should do it and the response was totally positive.  I never got paid for doing them but I did get another Oculus Rift which will make a good present for my son.

I have a sponsored chair video later this week then thats it, all back to normal.  The chair video is quite good, it's a build off between me and my GF who enlists Rabbits help ;)  It came about when I saw the chair in a shop, had a sit and loved it so I contacted the manufacturer and asked for a couple in return for an unboxing and demo, they said yes :)

Anyway I am looking at adding a bit more content to the channel, interviews, more hardware content, e.g. My GF bought a nice keyboard last week so I was thinking about demoing it (not a sponsored vid)  Maybe do one for other stuff I own like my wheel + pedals, similar to what I did with Oculus but not sponsored.

I am open to your suggestions on any other content you would like to see, please leave your thoughts below.

Thanks

If you have time create a fake game box with artwork for each game with how it would look (in your opinion) based on the actual game content. So a bad game would have a cardboard box colored in crayons done by a four year old, etc.

Maybe do a top 10 games for the Rift?

Review your GTX1070 and compare it with your GTX770?

I would think some of the UK indie development shops would be up for interviews, especially if you liked their game. I would enjoy having a behind the scenes look at these companies and their approach to gaming with you as our guide.

A chair sellout now, Mack?! You're worse than Rabbit snorting Yorkshire tea! lol. Well, I do like the occasional non-game review, and I do find them entertaining so why not?!

"won't get bogged down in boring stuff" Hear, hear! As a rule, keep making things you'd want to see! As for movies, politics etc we are miles apart in world view / artistic taste (except Lord of the Rings!)... those other things are purely subjective as they not your specialist subject... I think they would grate. Then/Now vids would be a great educational service to those who didn't live through gaming in the 80s/90s (& also for those who did!). Either way, I really hope you keep doing what you're excellent at - expertly assessing all types of PC games from a long-time PC gamer's perspective, with an emphasis on experience value, gameplay quality and the benefit of the 'long view', expressed from the gut with plenty of lyrical digression. In short, more Viz,* less Private Eye, please! (*with apologies for Tyne-based comparison, Mr Mackem)

Well now that I really don't worry about YT demonetising a video I could try out anything I like. I do like the then v now idea, not sold on Vlogs yet but am certainly up for some interviews even if I have to travel around the UK to get them, not sure if many would want me to interview them though. Movie reviews are harder as I could get a take down strike so I need to be careful. The main thing is that I keep making entertaining content, I won't get bogged down in boring stuff.

They will always remain, I love doing them

I like that Then v Now concept

Mack, I just wanted to say that it's really nice seeing things go so well for you. I'm happy that you're getting these opportunities. That's all :D

As long as you keep your health in tiptop shape and keep the humor in your vids, I don't see why we wouldn't love anything (except selling out) you put out Mack; cheers mate ๐Ÿป

Continue with the daily dings!

I agree with Mattig89ch, I think it is great that you are looking to expand your content offerings and if some of it gets sponsored I am happy for you. I trust that you will always give us your honest opinion, that's just how you are. Looking forward to the changes!

I can't wait for another Chair video built! yay

So if you start hardware content, I guess the upside is that you might get more sponsors for hardware, but honestly I'm not interested in wab having hardware content. Chairs and big things like VR or AR are awesome though because you can do stuff like build videos but I coulda kinda care less for stuff like minor peripherals(a single wab of a keyboard dosent mean much if you haven't looked at like 20 other gaming boards you know). Interviews would be awesome I hope you can get some big names in gaming to talk to you. Other than WAB's and more gaming news I think some other videos types you can do are maybe some vlogs like you cooking with rabbit stuff, or maybe some videos like you playing the choose your own adventure movie "Late Shift". At the end of the day I think more content in any form is good. Id like some more best of the rest style wabs and some more playthroughs. Then vs now videos might be cool, when a new shit tier game comes out find a older game in the same genre that's way better and make a comparison video.
