Sponsored Oculus Rift Video
Added 2017-06-16 00:58:21 +0000 UTCSome of you may know that I recently decided to turn down a sponsored video by Oculus as the deal would involve me playing games that i did not enjoy at all. Basically if I am doing anything sponsored then it's essential that i believe in the product and in this case although I love the Oculus rift I did not like the games list I had to play. I also told them I would not say anything they told me with regards to the Oculus or games, I insisted on being able to be myself.
I have today been contacted back and told that I can play games I enjoy and I can basically say whatever I like. I am in final talks with the sponsor but would like to ask you guys if any of you have a problem with me doing this sponsored video.
It will basically be me wearing the rift, playing two games, telling everyone it's a sponsored video and then having fun on the games. I always said I would not do a sponsored video for a game that costs money as I review them on my channel. This is for hardware that I already own after extensive research so I personally don't see a problem. I won't be reviewing the games. I actually already own one of the games and it's great "Job Simulator"
Let me know what you think.

I'm not at all a fan of sponsored material, Mack. One of the big reasons why i adore your channel. You speak you mind and nobody is pulling the strings in your voice box via your balls or wallet. But in this case as long as you make it super clear that it's a paid promotion of the product - and be as honest as you usually are, give it a go and let your patreon's decide whether they feel your content was compromised or not. We will let you know. Anyway, love your content mate.

I suppose it's down to personal preference but to me the touch controllers for the rift are far superior and just feel more natural and intuitive than the wands you get with the vive. Using a vive I'm always aware that I got the wands in my hands but with touch I kinda forget they are there which adds to the immersion.
