[UPDATE] Demo ver. 9.5 is live!
Added 2022-08-01 03:53:05 +0000 UTCHi everyone! As promised, I'm back with a bonus update for the month of July. The wordcount sits at just south of 16k words, and includes the wrap-up to the Jiasei arc and an interlude focusing on the Parami characters.
Currently, the interlude chapter includes Saine's entire scene as well as the romance half of Leon's. In truth, I had planned for the entire interlude to be included in this update, but the wordcount had ballooned out of control and I've had to reserve the friendship version of Leon's scene, as well as Ilya's scene (which is probably the most important one) for the next update.
Regardless, there's still quite a bit of meat on this one! It's probably the most laterally variative update I've written thus far, and importantly takes into account your Book I ending stats and compares it against your ongoing choices. I'm very happy with how it turned out! x)
To make it easier to explore the new content, I've also provided a means for you to overwrite your Book I ending stats at the beginning of the interlude. And lastly, because Leon's path currently only has its romance half done, this is the version that will show regardless of whether or not you actually romanced Leon (sorry!). This will no longer be the case by the time the next update rolls around.

I actually find if you have great, compelling characters, that taking a moment to see what is going on with them is a wonderful addition. I know I was desperate to read up on how my parami babies were doing, specially after that de-masking. But let me just say, if Thalia thinks torturing me with pain or even using Eli as a leash will earn my mages loyalty, she's got another thing coming. My mage will not suffer under another 'master/father' that treats him like a tool and experiment. And if she means to harm the royals, he will fight all the Arcadians (Eli to if he must) to protect them. >8(

And glad you enjoyed the POVs - I imagine having the focus being taken away from MC for such a significant period of time is not exactly to everyone's taste, but the response seems to be largely positive thus far!

2022-08-10 02:08:07 +0000 UTCThat's definitely super strange - as an avid dashingdon player myself, I've only ever encountered that problem when saving on stats screens. Perhaps some of the save plugin code changed in the backend, and it's causing new issues to pop up? In any case, I'm glad it's mostly resolved!

And scold Leon for not listening to me and not taking good care of himself. And scold Saine for not taking care of himself. My mage is very protective of his boys. xD

(right after saving the orphans) No biggy, though I hadn't saved on the stats screen, I think. (maybe I did the very first time?) When it first happened, I was extra careful not to save on stats. But it just kept doing that. But eventually I got past it. Didn't run into the problem again after Sienen's part. (I was super careful after it, cause I figured I might have either been a save on stats or me looking at stats right after a save and that's what screwed it up) xD

2022-08-09 23:02:18 +0000 UTCHi! This is an issue on dashingdon's end that happens when you save on the stats screen. It happens across all demos hosted on the site, and unfortunately there's not a lot I can do on my end to prevent it from happening. :( Hopefully you weren't too far in?

2022-08-09 20:52:45 +0000 UTCHmm, I'm running into issues in the demo where when loading a save, it sometimes traps you on the relationship stat screen and when you select return to game, it just takes you back to that relationship stat screen. And this effects all the saves when it happens.
