Totally agree with Joe's comment about not expecting massive corporations to represent individuals. I think I would go even further and say that when it comes to art, people should stop expecting others to create a work that reflects their entire self. I think Scottish culture especially is in danger of, even perhaps within our lifetimes, being reduced to a few relics like haggis, bagpipes and Burns Night, because I think people are generally far more invested in seeing themselves represented by American media. We are all culturally more interesting and more ancient than what America wants us to know about ourselves.
