These structures are mainly used to get zymogens, a base ingredient for a complex alien enzymes compound in pink science. I will add more uses for that big guy with time, but i can say some creatures love eat that succulent GMO.
As all fungus in this mod, you need a constant supply of spores collected from air to keep the genetic poll healthy.
