An Unfortunate Delay on Demolition Daiei
Added 2022-02-02 19:49:00 +0000 UTCAs any of our Shit Shooters listeners will know, I (Nicky) had to switch laptops recently due to a drive failure on my old machine. Unfortunately, what became clear to us this week was that my side of the upcoming Gamera vs Gyaos and Gamera vs Guiron episodes remains on those drives, with no copies on Google Drive, Dropbox or otherwise. I spent the entire day yesterday sweating this out, trying various recovery methods including borrowing a hard drive enclosure from my friend (thanks Tucker!) and long story short, the files are just gone. There's no way without spending a lot of money to try and do a drive recovery here, so we are going to be redoing the episodes. These were originally episodes without guests attached, so we're gonna see if we can't do that this time around. No guarantees though.
Wyatt assures me we will still have something to put up on Friday though, so look forward to a little Something Else this weekend. In two weeks for the next main feed slot though we should definitely have our redux of Gamera vs Gyaos up for everyone to enjoy. So yeah, you're still getting cool stuff, there's just gonna be some shuffling on our end because of some unfortunate bullshit that happened to us. Oh well!
