Important Billing Information

Hello everyone.

We are fast approaching the time of year where the next version of Legizmo is launched. As has been the case in recent years, Patreon billing will be enabled for September 1st, to cover the existing and upcoming development on the project.

If you do not wish to continue your use of Legizmo with watchOS 26 and Napili, please cancel your Patreon subscription before the end of August to ensure you are not billed. Legizmo Cloud Services will continue to allow your account to be used with any version of Legizmo you previously had access to beyond the end of your subscription.

If you do wish to continue with Napili, or may later wish to rejoin the Patreon, please read below

The Legizmo Patreon is subject to a mandatory billing change, which needs to be implemented by November 2025. It is my intention to implement this in September, to synchronise the change with the Napili cycle.

For any continuing members, there will be no immediate change. However, if you cancel and later rejoin, Patreon will inform you that your billing date will change from the first of the month to the date you rejoin. All new members will also join on the basis of being 'billed' the same date as they join.

To be clear - I do not intend to change Legizmo to being billed monthly. It will still operate on the same once-per-release cycle as it always has. However, you will notice this change to wording on Patreon after the change goes live.

This does however affect the release of subsequent editions of Legizmo after Napili. Billing may need to run a month ahead of planned release (i.e. August 2026 under normal circumstances) to ensure all accounts are up-to-date in time for that release. This does not affect Legizmo Napili, but I thought it worth advising you of this now.

These changes might also need to be adopted by Legizmo Cloud Services - implementing this in September will allow time for those changes to be implemented and tested.
