Introducing Fei!

Fei was born in the Kingdom of Lizhou, the last great power to rival the Empire. Its claim was short-lived, as within her first year her Queen was forced to sign away her country to little more than a trading hub for Imperial goods; the final link in its chain of global hegemony. From Fei's remote village however, life changed little as she grew up.
Eventually, a priest journeyed to the village, one who knew of Fei's attunement to the Wind Canto. Lizhou had been the birthplace of wind magic, and the Empire's mandate to place it under Concert control was seen by many as malignant blasphemy. The news kindled a wary populace into rebellion, and Fei was called upon to lend her power. She was one of nearly ten million wind mages brought together to create a new Wind Canto, and when their collective spell was finally completed, it wreaked a solemn, silent havoc the world had never known. For the first time in its history, the Empire withdrew.
Lizhou was free, but had been rendered unrecognizable. When she learned that further sacrifice was necessary, she fled in a stolen airplane, augmenting the weak engine to escape the wasteland and reach the ocean. From there, she found her way to the nearest free magical academy: Sonda Nyl. Under the tutelage of the local postmaster, Fei does her part to keep the world connected.
Haven't written one of these in a while, hope it's not too long! Fun though, and if you followed the last update, Fei's bio ended up being WAY different than what it had started as. Everything does, ha!
