Update 4/11

Hey, everyone! Happy Sunday, we've got an update for you :)

First of all, hello as always to the new Patrons! I hope you've enjoyed seeing our progress so far; we're slowly but surely putting the pieces together into a first demo!

At this point in development, we're starting focusing on putting all of our assets together into something that can actually be played. Taking e's reconfigured Ren'Py engine, Toro's art, my writing, and Ars's music. The music's pretty easy as it's just drag-and-drop, but everything else is always trickier than you expected! Making sure all of the backgrounds pan correctly, that clickable characters work in the right order, and that all of the narrative branches match up. It's the million little things that we're trying to fix up behind the scenes so (hopefully) none of you have to!

For this week, Toro's finished up the last necessary background! We may add another due to him finishing ahead of schedule, and if so we'll have that much more to show you! Otherwise, he'll be starting character expression passes for everyone who's debuted so far.

E's been steadily refining his custom Ren'Py components, and making sure everything works smoothly. That was something I had to do myself for Forks, and having a professional from the beginning saves a LOT of stress and time!

For myself, I've been putting the intro scenes together, and I just realized I've never posted any writing WIPS! Well, here ya' go, some branching scenes from the second scene of the game, before your ship docks at Sonda Nyl. This is currently the first interaction you have with any of the main girls, I should start posting these more regularly!

Hopefully we'll be able to show you some of those expression sets in the next update, along with more writing samples and MAYBE some screenshots! The first hurdle is always one of the hardest, and we're closer than ever to getting over it!
