The word here is "Bigoteer" - One who makes false or exaggerated claims of bigotry (racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.), usually for self advantage. Frederick Joseph seems to be a professional bigoteer. I guess that's a career options now?

Was just listening to Katie on The Fifth and I wonder who said “hood” first. Was it the women or did she say “Long Island ” only for Joseph to rephrase it to make it worse and she drunkenly accepted his phrasing.

The one that isn’t about acknowledging the error of her central thesis (those had to be added by editor’s at the top)? "Jesse interviews Kathryn Paige Harden"- Yeah, I found that very hard to listen to, her Valley Girl way of upspeak was very off-putting, I found it hard to take what this person had to say. Maybe that's sexist of me, but she sounds very young and doesn't realize how that upspeak or vocal fry or whatever they call it makes her sound casual, unserious, unprofessional and to me, hard on the ears. I don't know why it is, but compared to British professional women, American women can sound so shrill and affected and don't seem at all aware of this. The upspeak, the vocal fry, the general loudness. Like, the partriarchy is oppressing them so they need to speak louder, seems to be the thinking.

I use ‘hood’ all the time. My hood; your hood; this hood is awful; my hood has more interesting garbage than your hood; Little Red Riding Hood; check under the hood… and it isn’t about race at all. Clearly that guy is a con artist trying to promote himself by policing other people’s language on social media. Woke types who fall for it are saps.

With regards to the "hood" comment: I guess it depends on how that woman usually speaks. If she always refers to neighbourhoods as "hoods". I think we can give her the benefit-of-doubt that it wasn't a racist comment. If she only used the word "hood" in an apparently derogatory reference to a black person's home. Maybe it's fair to suspect her of racism.
